Lissajous: an audiovisual experience

This project is an audiovisual experience designed and created for the TU Dublin Graduate exhibition. It is about the relationship between sound, image and our understanding of them. It focuses on concepts such as harmony and resonance, and how these appear to us both visually and audibly, highlighting the important connection between sound and shape. It consists of an abstract visualisation of sound comprised of analogue lissajous patterns projected through a volumetric haze and a digital music composition which works in tandem with the visual. Also on display is a printed booklet with poetry which discusses the human ability to derive meaning and emotion from sound and shape and our position in doing so. This poem is also voiced in the audiovisual.
