IDRA 14 80th Anniversary
The IDRA 14 Dinghy Class Celebrated their 80th anniversary in Clontarf Yacht and Boat Club on the 26th and 27th of September 2026. I was commissioned to produce some design elements related to the event. The IDRA 14 is Irelands first dinghy class and has deep historical roots in Irish sailing.
For the on–land exhibition of boats I created a booklet which detailed the name, number and a piece of the history of each of the boats on display. Copies of this booklet were hand printed and bound in house and were given out to those who attended the event.
I produced screen printed T-shirts which were available for sale over the weekend. These garments were designed and printed in house. The design process involved creating a 3D model of the boat as a graphic element and typographically displaying technical data of the boat design.
Finally, I produced laser engraved wooden plaques which were awarded to all participants of the event. These were also produced in house which involved woodworking, designing, laser engraving and varnishing the final product.
